Tired
Well after 2 late nights I needed a sleep today. I don't normally nap but today I went for a sleep at 2pm and woke up at 6pm... Wednesday night was a work dinner to celebrate winning an innovation award and Thursday was a computer game industry workshop.
Current reading is "Chris Crawford on Game Design". This guy really nows what he's talking about. I wish a few more game companies would make it compulsory for their staff to read these books.
Siobhan is now about 7.5kg. I've just done a bottle feed during the first half of the rugby world cup... The poms are winning... I'm glad I didn't go and put $100 on Aussie to win like I was planning! I am so crap at sports betting...

Damn Australians!
Sigh.. I guess it wasn't NZ's fate to win the Rugby World Cup. They were doomed the moment I drew them in the office sweepstake. Oh well we'll see in an hour how the French and English go. I'm backing the French to win this one. Oh and we got knocked out of the cricket tri-nations by India in spectacular style as well.
Played my first game of golf today for a looooong time. Quite good fun although I was crap. My best hit of the day was my 'happy gilmour' running tee-off... straight and true and ended up about 20 feet behind the green.

Roll on the weekend!
Damn this week is long... it seems like I've been in one giant meeting all week.
Looking forward to the weekend.. if the weather is good I'll play some golf otherwise I'll use my brownie points (earnt by going on an arts and crafts trail last weekend) to buy a slothful lazy "boy's day" of watching movies and playing games :)
Should have the close-up lenses for the digital camera tomorrow which will hopefully mean we can catch all those cute little episodes without all the blur.
And I finally got my recorded DVD playing on my DVD player! All it took was burning a DVD-R rather than a DVD+R. I now have my video from my trip to San Diego and London on a DVD with a proper menu and everything!

Go the All Blacks! :)
We managed to finish off the Saffers in a bit better style than we've played lately. Hopefully this is a sign we are peaking at the right time.
I managed to burn my first DVD today. All it consists of is a menu screen and a 40 sec (crappy) animation with a Pixies soundtrack. It works great on my PC but my DVD player doesn't seem to like it at all >:( I think it could be DVD-player shopping time ;)

Bloody dog!
She managed to jump over what must be nearly a 2m fence and shot off on an adventure ignoring our calls for her to come back. Grrrrrr! Eventually someone we knew who lives around the corner brough her back after she had jumped into her backyard and bit her romantically-inclined Rottweiler on the face! She is probably feeling a bit left out with the new baby but that's no excuse to run off and cause havoc in other people's backyard. Luckily the woman recognised her otherwise she'd be in dog-prison right now.
